If individual batteries, base-end stations, buildings, etc. are in some way significant, please indicate: The enlisted quarters was originally built in 1903.  It is a wooden structure and is probable one of the few surviving wooden buildings in the Baltimore system.  It may be one of the few wooden structures in the nation. Only one battery remains and the county has done an exceptional job at cleaning it up and making it accessible to visitors. The county has assigned full time personnel to the site and invested significant resources to clean up the park.  History tours have been started and the site personnel are looking forward to working with CDSG.  An ammunition lift was found in the battery when it was opened up last year.  Records indicate this may have been a Hodges  hand-powered hoist system.  It was removed and sent to a site in Delaware where it is to be put on display.  Parts of the tram system (track) were found during the recent demolition of another building.  The park plans to work with the historical society and renovate the barracks in keeping with the parks military history. Photos are provided.
